With 18 years of experience in the field of education, a common theme emerged: even the brightest children can face challenges, but the path to help remains unclear. Throughout countless meetings with parents, whether in my role as a teacher or licensed educational therapist, one thing was evident – frustration and helplessness when it came to advocating for their children and helping them understand their struggles.

Many parents expressed feelings of confusion, believing their child might be 'lazy' or even showing signs of depression, which created a disconnect between them and their child.

When I earned my Master of Education in Special Education and became a TEA-certified Educational Diagnostician testing students for learning disabilities, those conversations began to change. Suddenly, I was providing parents with answers that made everything ‘click’. The parents understood why their child was genuinely unable to perform certain tasks and the next steps to help them overcome those weaknesses. Hope became tangible and the gap that had formed between the parents and their child seemed smaller. At that point, I knew that these kinds of answers and help should be easily available to all families.

I founded Clever Cogs Educational Testing Services to help families find fast and reliable answers in a private setting. Our mission is to empower parents to build a relationship with their children based on empathy and trust. By helping identify their areas of struggle and strength, we illuminate a clear path forward.
